| Swimming pools | |  Cardinia's aquatic facilities provide a safe and fun water environment for everyone. Cardinia has one indoor aquatic facility at Cardinia Life and four seasonal outdoor pools.

Pakenham, Garfield, Koo Wee Rup and Emerald Lake Park outdoor swimming pools are open during summer for all the family to enjoy.

Weekends and public holidays 11am-7pm
Closed Christmas Day
The facility will remain open until 8pm on evenings where the temperature remains above 30 degrees Celcius and at least 30 people remain at the facility.
The pool will not open if forecast temperature is under 22 degrees Celcius or if heavy rain or lightning conditions are forecast.
Garfield and District Community Swimming Pool

Provision will be made for later operating hours if demand is apparent; if the temperature remains above 30 degrees Celcius and where at least 30 people remain at the facility. The pool will not open if forecast temperature is under 22 degrees Celcius or if heavy rain or lightning conditions are forecast.
Koo Wee Rup and District Memorial Swimming Pool
The main pool is open, but the toddler and leaners pool are currently closed due to repair works. It is anticipated these pools will open 23-27 November 2009. Please phone the pool directly on 5997 1372 or Council on 1300 787 624 for more details.

Provision will be made for later operating hours when demand is apparent; if the temperature is 28 degrees Celcius or above at 5pm and at least 20 people are still using facility, the pool's closing time will extend to 7.30pm. The pool will not open if forecast temperature is under 22 degrees Celcius or if heavy rain or lightning conditions are forecast.
