News>PB Ronald Playground to be upgraded
| Media release: 16 October 2009 | | A major upgrade of the playground at PB Ronald Reserve in Pakenham will commence by the end of October and should be completed in time for the January school holidays.
The playground will be closed during construction.
Mayor Cr Bill Pearson said the playground upgrade would complete another part of the PB Ronald Reserve Master Plan.
“The great news is that children of all abilities will be able to use the new playground,” said Cr Pearson.
“Paths within the playground will also be fully accessible and the new equipment includes a liberty swing, additional play features and an improved entrance. The playground area will be fenced," he added.
Cr Pearson said significant planting and landscape improvements would also be provided as part of the project.
This project is been undertaken with the support of Variety Australia who have provided the Liberty Swing and the State Government who have provided a grant for this project through Sport and Recreation Victoria
