News>Bookings open for Teenage Holiday Program
| Media release: 4 September 2009 | | Bookings are now open for Cardinia Shire Council’s Teenage Holiday program in the September holidays.
Young people aged between 11 and 16 years who live, study, work or recreate in Cardinia Shire can attend the program that takes participant out of the Shire for a range of fun filled experiences at reasonable prices.
Costs range from $6 - $40. All activities are supervised by staff from Cardinia Youth Services with the support of Windermere Child and Family Services.
Youth Recreation Officer, Leonie Olsen said the program has been put together based on previous evaluations of the program and suggestions made by past participants of where they would like to go over the school holidays.
“It provides a great opportunity for young people to go to new places and meet new friends,” Ms Olsen said.

| “Lots of our young people enjoy going beyond the Shire for entertainment in the holidays and this program provides this opportunity which is also affordable and supervised,” said Ms Olsen.
