Cardinia Shire’s volunteer database is now available online!
If you are an organisation looking for support from Cardinia's many willing volunteers, or a member of our community looking to help out in a volunteer capacity, this database can help.
The volunteer database provides not-for-profit community organisations with an opportunity to recruit volunteers by listing vacancies and options for volunteer positions.
The database is a free service to not-for-profit organisations that operate within Cardinia Shire or that service Cardinia Shire residents.

Select your area/s of interest and preferred time commitment, then select ‘search’. 3. Select the volunteer opportunity of interest to find out more. 4. You can now print or contact the organisation to express your interest in volunteering. | |
| Looking for volunteers? | | 1. Click on Post a volunteer vacancy to advertise a volunteer position with your not-for-profit community organisation. 2. Complete the online form detailing the vacancy. 3. Select ‘save’ to post the vacancy on the website. 4. Your vacancy will be listed on the volunteer database once approved. | |

| Volunteer database – frequently asked questions | | Who is the volunteer database for? The database is a free service available to not for profit community organisations that operate in or that service Cardinia Shire residents. These organisations can post volunteer vacancies on the database for the general public to search available volunteer opportunities. The database is not available to businesses or for profit organisations.
When will my posting be visible to the public? Your vacancy will be visible within 5 working days of submitting your posting. All postings are reviewed by Council’s Web Author for final approval, Council reserves the right to edit or refuse publication of posting submissions.
What if my vacancy does not fit into the categories available? The database provides options for your posting to select a number of categories (ie organisation type and time commitment). If your vacancy does not fit into the categories available please select ‘other’ from the list and provide as much information as possible in the role title and description.
How much information is required for my posting? Please provide as much information as possible to assist potential volunteers to be linked with your organisations/groups needs and best suit your volunteering requirements.
How do I change or delete my posting? To change or delete your posting go to the ‘post a volunteer vacancy page’ and click the ‘email your changes’ link. This link will create an email to the Web Author for the database where you can detail the necessary changes or request a current listing be deleted from the database. Please allow 5 working days for your changes to be made, Council reserves the right to edit or refuse publication of posting submissions.
