| Cardinia Shire | | Cardinia Shire is bounded by the City of Casey to the west, the Yarra Ranges Shire to the north, the Shire of Baw Baw to the east and Western Port Bay to the south.
For the purpose of statistics, Cardinia Shire is divided into three sub-regions. These are:
The Growth Area Sub-region
containing the areas of Pakenham, Beaconsfield and Officer.
The Hills Sub-region
containing the areas of Upper Beaconsfield, Guys Hill and Dewhurst; Emerald, Clematis, Avonsleigh and Menzies Creek; Cockatoo and Nangana; Gembrook and Northern Rural.
The Rural (South and East) Sub-region
containing the areas of Southern Rural, Koo Wee Rup, Lang Lang, Nar Nar Goon and Tynong, Garfield and Bunyip.
