  Cardinia Shire Council’s draft Road Safety Strategy 2011–14 is open for community comment until Friday 9 March.
• Council urges drivers to slow down around schools
  Cardinia Shire Council is reminding drivers to slow down and be more aware of children walking, cycling and scooting to and from school.
• Register now for Mobile March
  Mobile March is on again and Cardinia Shire Council is encouraging local primary schools to register this month before it is too late.
• No ifs or ‘butts’, keep the Shire clean
  In an effort to stamp out cigarette litter Cardinia Shire Council has installed 12 butt bins across the Shire this month.
• CEO report October–December 2011
  Another quarter has come to an end and so has another year. Cardinia Shire’s growth was one of the biggest factors influencing Council’s operations in 2011. This will no doubt continue in 2012.
• Applications now open for 2012–13 grants
  Cardinia Shire Council is now taking applications for its 2012–13 community grants program.
• Recycling the right way
  Cardinia Shire Council has been granted funding from the State Government, through Sustainability Victoria’s Public Place Recycling Grant program, to run the Cardinia Shire Public Place Resource Recovery project.
• Grant for youth program ‘Engage!’
  Cardinia Shire Council has received funding from the State Government to deliver a range of programs and activities for young people in the Shire over the next three years.

  Young people are invited to put their best foot forward and boogie their way down to Cardinia Life this term for ‘The Dance Project’.

  The 2012 Cardinia Business Awards were officially launched last Wednesday night at the Cardinia Cultural Centre at Lakeside Pakenham.
• Salisbury Road update
  Vital safety repairs on Salisbury Road in Upper Beaconsfield are complete and outstanding drainage works are due to finish in March.
