Council's annual Pet Expo features stalls, displays and products for all kinds of pets as well as face painting, activities, discounts and give-aways. Pet owners will also be given the opportunity to have their pets permanently identified with a microchip for a heavily discounted fee of $20 per animal.

Bus tours of historic Emerald are a feature of Emerald’s PAVE Festival.
Emerald’s interesting history spans nearly 150 years. See where it started. Move through the area of first ‘permanent settlement’, discover the ‘one square mile’ of Emerald.
Tours include a visit to the site of ‘Emerald Diggings’, the sites of Emerald’s first school and church (now Avonsleigh) plus ‘Emerald Township’ and surrounds.
Conducted by local historian Graeme Legge, each tour will last approximately one hour.
