The Fair Work Act 2009 commenced on 1 July 2009. Employers need to quickly understand, and adapt to, the impact of the changes to industrial relations – workplace relations laws. The new regulatory context will place a range of new requirements and obligations on both employers and employees, including requirements to bargain in good faith, and new provisions relating to unfair dismissal for all businesses.
All employers, large and small, and employees, are invited to attend this breakfast to hear Alexandra Marriott, Manager of Workplace Relations Policy at VECCI, outline the changes introduced by the Fair Work Act that will impact upon your business.
